About the course
This combined diploma-to-degree pathway builds academic and practical IT foundations before progressing into QUT’s Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments. You’ll study in a supportive, small-class environment while developing core computing knowledge, then move into game and interactive media development across design, technology and creative practice. The program is designed to help you transition smoothly into undergraduate study in games and interactive environments. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.

Graduates can pursue roles across game and interactive media production, combining computing and creative capabilities. Depending on the major, opportunities include game designer, gameplay or software developer, technical artist, 3D artist/animator, and interactive experience developer.
