About the course
This diploma is a pathway for students aiming to progress into ACU pre-service teacher degrees in early childhood, primary or secondary education. It supports applicants who have not met the admission rank and/or required subject prerequisites (such as English, maths or science, depending on state). You can choose prerequisite units and selected first-year education units, with the potential to receive credit when transferring into a relevant ACU Bachelor of Education programme. The programme develops classroom assistance skills, child development knowledge, and educational support practice.

Graduates may pursue support roles in education settings while preparing to transition into an initial teacher education bachelor degree. The course can help you build academic skills and meet prerequisites, and may provide credit towards a future teaching qualification at ACU.
