About the course
This Graduate Diploma develops management capability for professionals working in aged care, particularly those in supervisory or leadership roles across public, private and charitable organisations. You’ll build an understanding of the socio‑political context shaping aged care and how this influences service planning, quality and delivery. The program also provides a pathway for further study, including progression to a Master of Health Science in health services management.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to contribute to improved governance, innovation and quality in the organisation and delivery of aged care services. The course supports progression into supervisory and management responsibilities within residential aged care, community and home-care providers, and related health and social care organisations. Career pathways may include aged care service coordinator, team leader, facility/operations support roles and quality or program improvement roles within the aged care sector.
