About the course
This nationally recognised AQF Level 6 qualification is the second year of WAAPA’s vocational Production and Design program. It is designed for students interested in the technical and organisational sides of live performance, including design, lighting, props, scenery and stage management. You will gain practical skills and professional experience by working on WAAPA productions to industry-level expectations in performing arts production and management. The programme introduces business operations, customer service, and administrative leadership for commercial workplaces.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for technical and production roles supporting live performance and events. The course develops capability across areas such as lighting and stagecraft, scenic and prop support, production coordination and stage management practice, with experience gained on WAAPA-mounted productions.
