About the course
The Diploma in Criminology is a pathway and standalone qualification designed to help students build foundational skills for tertiary study in criminology and criminal justice. It offers a lower entry threshold than bachelor programs and can provide credit toward up to the first year of study, allowing progression into the second year of ACU’s Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Students benefit from smaller classes, tailored transition support and student services in a diploma-level criminology program.

Potential roles include policy advisor, reintegration worker, police (state, territory or federal), immigration and border protection official, and community corrections officer. Outcomes align with diploma-level preparation for work and further study in criminology and criminal justice.
