About the course
This combined diploma and degree pathway builds foundational creative industries skills and helps you transition smoothly into QUT’s Bachelor of Design. You study in a supportive, close-knit environment with experienced educators and a blended learning approach. Successful completion provides full credit and allows progression directly into second year design, so you can graduate with two qualifications in the same overall timeframe in design and creative industries. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for entry-level work and further study across design-led and creative industries contexts. The pathway develops skills for designing products, services, systems and experiences, supporting roles in design studios, creative agencies, digital and service organisations, and in-house design teams. Completing the diploma then progressing into the Bachelor of Design strengthens employability in design and creative industries careers. Preparing graduates for graphic design, multimedia production, advertising, and creative studio roles.
