About the course
The Diploma of Communication provides a supported pathway into undergraduate communication study at the University of Canberra. You’ll build foundational knowledge and skills in communication practice and prepare for progression into related bachelor programs. Study is delivered on campus at UC College and is designed to help you transition into second-year university learning. This is a Diploma qualification in Media & Communication. The programme provides practical media, writing, and presentation skills for paraprofessional communication roles.

This diploma builds a base for roles that support communication and media work across a range of organisations. Graduates may pursue entry-level opportunities in areas such as content and media support, digital and social media assistance, advertising and promotional support, and administrative roles within communication teams. The program is also designed as a pathway to further bachelor-level study in Media & Communication.
