About the course
Deakin’s Diploma of Chinese builds proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin while deepening understanding of Chinese culture and society. You develop practical communication skills through everyday topics, essential vocabulary and grammar, and explore historical, sociolinguistic and political perspectives across the Chinese-speaking world. An optional in-country program offers intensive language and cultural study. This is a Diploma in Chinese. The programme develops classroom assistance skills, child development knowledge, and educational support practice.
