About the course
This fast-track diploma is a UOW College pathway that builds academic and study skills while introducing key disciplines across arts, social sciences and humanities. It provides guaranteed entry (subject to conditions) to eligible University of Wollongong degrees, with credit that can place you into later-year bachelor study. Delivered on campus in two 14‑week sessions, it helps you progress to undergraduate study in the Arts and Humanities area. The programme emphasises applied skills, workplace readiness, and technical competency for industry entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can use the Higher Education Diploma as a stepping stone into entry-level roles while continuing into a UOW bachelor degree. The course supports pathways into disciplines such as international relations, linguistics, history and human geography, which commonly lead to work across government and community services, communications and media, cultural and creative sectors, and administrative or project support roles.
