About the course
This Certificate III qualification develops skills to select, install, set up and commission instrumentation and control systems used to measure and record physical and chemical processes. You’ll learn to test, fault-find, repair and maintain process control devices in a practical, face-to-face, simulated workplace environment. Delivery is block-based at Casuarina and may be undertaken as an apprenticeship. This is a Certificate III program in instrumentation and control engineering. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates may work in industrial settings supporting the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and process control equipment. Typical roles include Instrumentation and Control Technician or Instrumentation and Control Senior Technical Officer, with work across industries such as utilities, mining, manufacturing and process plants. This is a Certificate III pathway into hands-on instrumentation and control roles within electrical and control engineering environments.
