About the course
This Certificate III qualification prepares apprentices for trade work as an engineering fabrication tradesperson in metal, engineering and manufacturing industries. Training covers a broad range of fabrication tasks such as metal fabrication and structural steel work, sheetmetal work, welding and surface finishing, with assessment requiring evidence of competence in real or simulated workplace conditions. It is undertaken via a training contract or formal trade recognition processes.
