About the course
This vocational course develops practical skills in designing and producing custom-made footwear. You’ll learn end-to-end processes including pattern development, fitting, materials selection and construction techniques, with an emphasis on producing high-quality bespoke shoes. Study is delivered on campus with hands-on workshop learning and industry-relevant practices. This is a Certificate IV qualification in footwear design and production within Design & Visual Art. The programme trains digital design tools, visual production, and portfolio development for creative workplaces.

Graduates can pursue work in the footwear and fashion sector, applying skills in custom shoe design, pattern making, fitting and production. Typical pathways include roles in bespoke footwear studios, small-batch manufacturing, fashion product development and related quality or production support.
