About the course
This hands-on Certificate III specialises in mobile plant technology for civil construction and mining equipment. You’ll develop practical capability to diagnose, service and repair mechanical and related systems on equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders and mining trucks. Training also covers forklifts and elevating work platforms, supporting progression for apprentices or technicians moving into mobile plant roles in the mechanical trade. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.

Graduates may work as technicians maintaining and repairing mobile plant and associated systems across mining and civil construction environments. Typical roles include diesel fitter/mobile plant technician, earthmoving equipment technician, elevating work platform technician, and forklift mechanic/repair technician.
