This Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care prepares you for entry-level work supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development in regulated early childhood settings. You’ll build practical skills aligned to current frameworks and industry expectations, with options to study on campus, online or via recognition of prior learning. It is a Certificate III qualification in Education & Teaching. The programme develops classroom assistance skills, child development knowledge, and educational support practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may work as an early childhood educator in settings such as long day care services, family day care, in-home care, and preschool or kindergarten environments. The qualification can also provide a pathway to further study, including progression to the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and potential credit toward other CQUniversity qualifications. It is a Certificate III pathway in Education & Teaching. Preparing graduates for teacher aide, early childhood support, and education assistant roles, or degree articulation.
