About the course
The Certificate III in EAL (Access) supports adults learning English as an additional language to build practical communication for everyday life and community participation. You’ll develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills alongside digital literacy, and learn to understand and provide information, directions and opinions. The course can also help prepare you for further study, training or work in an English-speaking environment. The programme develops classroom assistance skills, child development knowledge, and educational support practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can use improved English language and digital skills to communicate more independently in daily and community settings and to progress into further training. This qualification may support pathways into specialised study options and improve readiness for entry-level work where functional spoken and written English is needed. Outcomes are aligned to a Certificate III English language foundation for community, study and workplace participation. Preparing graduates for teacher aide, early childhood support, and education assistant roles, or degree articulation.
