About the course

This Certificate I - IV course has been designed to develop foundational knowledge in the disciplines of animal studies, companion animal services and veterinary nursing skills. Students will receive training from industry experienced teachers in order to gain skills to be used towards future employment.

The course assists students to develop essential skills through core units such as animal nutrition and care, workplace safety and health or placements in an animal focused environment, so as to contribute towards academic knowledge required for a Bachelor degree or find employment in the industry.
