About the course
This Certificate III develops practical skills for working in apparel, fashion and textile production. You’ll gain hands-on experience in making and altering garments and learning foundational production processes used in industry. Delivered on campus at Brunswick, the course supports entry into junior roles or further vocational study in fashion. It is a part-time vocational qualification focused on fashion and textiles practice. The programme trains digital design tools, visual production, and portfolio development for creative workplaces.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue entry-level work in apparel and textile production environments, supporting garment construction and alterations, cutting and basic patternmaking tasks. Possible roles include garment alterations assistant, dressmaker assistant, apparel cutter or textile/fabric production worker. The Certificate III can also provide a pathway into further vocational training in fashion and textiles and related design and production areas. Preparing graduates for junior designer, production assistant, and multimedia support roles, or degree articulation.
