About the course

This entry-level dual qualification prepares you for roles across hospitality and events. You’ll build foundational skills to support event staging, use reservation and operating systems, prepare quotes, and deliver customer service in fast-paced venues. Training is delivered with hands-on guidance from industry-experienced teachers and provides a pathway to further study in hospitality and events at the Certificate level. The programme introduces business operations, customer service, and administrative leadership for commercial workplaces.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue entry-level work in hospitality venues and event support. Typical roles include conference and events assistant, event administrative or operations assistant, and front-of-house positions such as bar, café, catering, food and beverage, and front office assistant. The dual Certificate II/III focus supports employment in restaurants, cafés, bars and event settings within the hospitality and tourism industry. Preparing graduates for supervisory, administration, and business support roles, or degree articulation.
