About the course
This hands-on Certificate III builds foundational skills for work in screen and media, with a focus on film and television production. You’ll learn practical techniques such as picture composition, camera operation, vision and sound editing, and content creation for social media. Training is delivered by industry-experienced lecturers and is designed to develop creative and technical capability for entry-level work in screen production and media. This is a Certificate III qualification in Media & Communication.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue entry-level roles supporting film, TV and digital media productions. The course develops practical production and post-production capabilities that suit assistant and junior crew positions, including camera, editing and general production support. Skills in social media content creation can also support work in fast-growing digital content teams. Typical opportunities include working with production companies, broadcasters, or in-house media teams. This is a Certificate III pathway into Media & Communication roles.
Entry requirements
IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10.
