About the course
This trade qualification prepares apprentices and trainees for plumbing work in residential, commercial and industrial settings. You’ll develop skills to assemble, install and maintain water services, sanitary plumbing and drainage, gas, roofing and mechanical services across new builds and existing structures. Training and assessment are delivered in real or closely simulated workplaces and may include block attendance. This Certificate III supports entry to licensed plumbing practice in the building trades.

Graduates are prepared for trade employment in plumbing and related services across construction and maintenance sectors. Typical roles include plumber, plumber and drainer, plumber and gasfitter, gasfitter, roof plumber and mechanical services plumber. Work may involve installing and maintaining water, gas and drainage systems and supporting compliance with safety and licensing requirements.
