About the course
This Certificate III in Community Services prepares you for entry-level roles supporting people through person-centred community services. You’ll learn to provide day-to-day assistance in community settings and help implement community-based programs, working under supervision in a range of community service organisations. Study is available blended, face-to-face or online across multiple CDU locations, as a Certificate-level qualification in community services. The programme introduces counselling basics, community support skills, and behavioural science fundamentals.
Career outcome
Graduates may work in community services organisations providing direct support and client assistance in community and residential settings. Typical roles include residential support worker, community care worker, welfare support worker, client contact worker and accommodation support officer. The qualification can also support pathways into youth-focused roles such as youth worker, youth housing support worker, youth support worker and juvenile justice-related support positions in community services.
