About the course
This Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care prepares you for work in early-childhood education and childcare settings with children from birth to 6 years. You’ll build practical capability through hands-on training in simulated early-childhood rooms and supervised industry placements. The course covers child development, communication, nutrition, health and safety, and legal and ethical practice in a Certificate III early childhood qualification. The programme develops classroom assistance skills, child development knowledge, and educational support practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can support qualified educators in early learning and childcare environments, applying safe, ethical and developmentally appropriate practices for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Typical work settings include long day care centres, early learning centres and community-based childcare services, where you assist with daily care routines and help deliver play-based learning experiences as an entry-level early childhood worker with a Certificate III in Education & Teaching.
