This course introduces the forces shaping contemporary world politics and international policy, building your ability to analyse global issues and relationships in context. You will study core international relations concepts and choose electives aligned to your interests, with flexible online or on-campus delivery. The Graduate Certificate of International Relations also provides a pathway into Deakin’s Master of International Relations. The programme delivers postgraduate depth in theory, applied practice, and professional standards for specialist career progression.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply international relations and policy analysis skills across government, non-government organisations, multicultural and community associations, and globally focused business settings. The course supports roles involving international policy, program support, stakeholder engagement and research, and helps build capacity to contribute to responses to complex issues such as climate change and global poverty at an entry postgraduate level in international relations.
