About the course
The Graduate Certificate of Clinical Simulation enables you to apply principles and theories that inform educational practice in a range of clinical and other relevant contexts to undertake professional and highly skilled work and as a pathway for further learning. This practice-based qualification is suitable for a broad range of health professionals who are, or will be, engaged in simulation-based education. This includes in teaching, assessment, evaluation, mentoring and supervision of health professionals and students in a range of clinical and other contexts.
Career outcome
These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework level 8 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that students will be able to: 1. Articulate a personal philosophy of learner-centred education in simulation2. Describe and apply learning theories that inform educational practice in clinical simulation3. Identify and apply principles of curriculum design, using simulation to meet learning objectives4. Discuss contemporary issues in healthcare simulation5.
