About the course
QUT’s Graduate Certificate in Water Modelling is a part-time postgraduate course focused on practical water engineering analysis and decision-making. You’ll build technical capability in modelling water and flood behaviour and develop management insight for sustainable water and wastewater challenges. The course is industry-informed and includes applied problem-solving supported by experienced academics and practitioners in water engineering. The programme strengthens advanced engineering design, systems analysis, and innovation management for complex industry projects.

This graduate certificate prepares you for roles supporting water resources planning, flood and stormwater modelling, and environmental and regulatory work.
