About the course
This graduate certificate is designed for experienced midwives seeking to expand skills and meet requirements for endorsement. You’ll build capability in screening, diagnostic and pharmacological procedures and complete a dedicated Preparation for Endorsement unit with guidance on the required documentation. The course is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council and supports progression to apply for AHPRA endorsement as an endorsed midwife.
What you might learn
You’ll strengthen culturally safe, values-led midwifery practice and develop critical, reflective decision-making in complex care contexts. The course builds capability to interpret evidence and health standards, use current technologies for safe therapeutic interventions, communicate effectively within interprofessional teams, and apply relevant legislation, ethics and accountability. You’ll also build leadership, professional development and lifelong learning skills to support advanced midwifery practice.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be a current registered midwife with AHPRA registration.
