About the course
This Graduate Certificate in LGBTQIA+ Policy is designed for professionals and community leaders who want to build capability in inclusive policy design and practice. You’ll examine contemporary issues affecting LGBTQIA+ communities and learn how to apply evidence and governance approaches to develop more equitable outcomes. The course is offered online for flexibility and is delivered through the Canberra School of Government at postgraduate level in public policy.
Career outcome
Graduates may work in policy, program and advisory roles focused on inclusion and equity across government, NGOs, advocacy organisations and community services. The qualification supports professionals involved in developing, implementing or evaluating policies and services for diverse communities, including roles such as policy officer, program coordinator, inclusion adviser or community engagement practitioner. This is a postgraduate qualification in social policy and inclusion practice.

An IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent).
