About the course
Designed for experienced teachers who want to better support students with additional learning needs in inclusive settings, this Graduate Certificate develops specialist capability in special and inclusive education. You study four focused units across areas such as learning disabilities, inclusive classroom practice, autism spectrum disorder, behaviour and social skills support, gifted education and assistive technology. The qualification is offered online with flexible full-time or part-time study in education.
Career outcome
Graduates can strengthen their practice in mainstream and specialist settings by applying evidence-informed approaches to inclusion, learning support and differentiated instruction. The course can support pathways into roles such as special/inclusive education teacher, learning support teacher, disability and inclusion coordinator, or wellbeing/behaviour support leader, and can also provide a pathway to further study such as a Master of Education. Outcomes align to postgraduate practice in education & teaching.
