About the course
This Graduate Certificate in Crime Prevention is designed for professionals working in, or aiming to enter, crime prevention roles. You’ll build a strong grounding in key prevention theories and contemporary approaches, and learn to critically assess policy and practice through social justice and inclusion. Delivered part-time with flexible online study and weekly evening workshops, the course develops practical, evidence-based skills in crime prevention within a graduate-level law and justice context.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply crime prevention theory and evidence to develop, assess and improve prevention initiatives across public and community settings. The course supports roles involved in community safety, prevention policy and strategy, CPTED-informed planning, and program design and evaluation.
