About the course
This Certificate IV qualification is designed for people working in work health and safety (WHS) roles who need broad technical knowledge and practical skills to support safe workplaces. You’ll learn to manage workplace risks, apply relevant WHS legislation, and contribute to WHS systems in changing or established contexts, with some responsibility for guiding others. Delivery is available in blended and online formats for this TAFE-level WHS programme. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles supporting safety compliance and risk management across a range of industries and worksites. Typical opportunities include WHS adviser or WHS officer, occupational health and safety officer or technician, and roles assisting regulators or insurers such as WorkCover/WorkSafe inspector pathways. This Certificate IV can support progression into supervisory WHS responsibilities and further vocational study in workplace safety and compliance.
