About the course
This Certificate III in Landscape Construction is an apprenticeship qualification for trade-level roles in the landscaping industry. You’ll build practical skills for outdoor construction work including paving, retaining walls, drainage and irrigation, planting and site works. Study is delivered through Federation TAFE with scheduled contact time alongside on-the-job training, supporting you to become a qualified landscape gardener in landscape construction. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for trade-level work in the landscape industry through an apprenticeship pathway. Typical opportunities include working on residential and commercial outdoor construction projects, installing landscape features such as paving, retaining walls, irrigation and drainage, and supporting planting and site preparation. Roles may include landscape gardener and related landscaping trades positions within landscape construction and maintenance businesses. Preparing graduates for engineering technician, draftsperson, and technical service roles, or degree articulation.
Entry requirements
Must be an apprentice in landscaping.
