About the course
This Certificate II in Agriculture provides hands-on training for entry-level work in farming and rural operations. You’ll build practical capability in using farm machinery and vehicles, basic chemical handling, livestock care and welfare, and supporting crop establishment. Delivered face-to-face at Mt Rowan, the course is designed to develop job-ready skills and confidence for work in the agriculture industry at Certificate II level. The programme develops laboratory safety, sample handling, and basic analytical techniques for technical roles.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue entry-level roles across farms, stations and rural enterprises, supporting day-to-day animal and property operations. Career pathways include assistant animal attendant/stockperson, assistant farm or station hand, assistant station worker, and assistant farm or station labourer. The course can also provide a practical foundation for progressing into an apprenticeship or further TAFE study in agriculture at Certificate II level. Preparing graduates for laboratory assistant, quality control, and science technician roles, or degree articulation.
