About the course
This degree prepares you to support and advocate for young people through evidence-informed youth work practice. You’ll explore youth studies, social policy and community development, and learn how to design and facilitate programs that respond to young people’s social, behavioural, health, welfare and developmental needs. The Bachelor of Youth Work and Youth Studies builds foundational capabilities for professional practice in youth and community services. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may work in youth-focused community and human services across government and non-government organisations. Typical pathways include youth worker roles delivering outreach and support programs, coordinating services for at-risk young people, and contributing to community development and wellbeing initiatives. The Bachelor of Youth Work and Youth Studies supports careers in youth work and related social and community service settings.
