About the course
The Tourism and Hospitality Global major is designed for students who want management careers in tourism, hospitality, events and destination development. It explores contemporary issues such as sustainable tourism, destination and hospitality management, marketing, and the economic impacts of tourism and events. The major includes opportunities to study across two or more Curtin global campuses to gain intercultural and international industry perspectives within an undergraduate tourism and hospitality pathway.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across tourism, hospitality and event-based industries, with an international focus supported by study across Curtin’s global campuses. Career options include destination management officer, tourism manager, international travel consultant, tourism information officer, functions/restaurant/catering manager, global tourism events manager, and resort or hotel manager. The major supports entry into management-oriented roles in tourism, hospitality, events, attractions, entertainment and leisure sectors.
