About the course
The Bachelor of Surveying (Honours) (from 2027) prepares you for modern surveying practice using spatial data and precision technologies. You’ll build capability in GNSS/satellite positioning, drones, 3D laser scanning, digital mapping, GIS, remote sensing and spatial data analytics, applying these skills to real-world infrastructure, land development and environmental challenges. Study is delivered flexibly through online learning plus on-campus field intensives each semester.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue diverse roles across infrastructure, construction, land development, mining, environmental management and spatial technologies. Employers include government agencies, consulting firms and major project teams seeking skills in measurement, spatial data and digital construction workflows. Potential pathways include Registered Land Surveyor, Mining Surveyor, Hydrographic Surveyor, Geospatial Specialist, Photogrammetrist and related planning and development roles within the surveying and geospatial industry.
