About the course
This undergraduate extended major builds a strong foundation in sport and exercise science, linking theory with practical and technical training. You’ll develop communication skills and apply scientific approaches to human performance, physical activity and health across diverse settings. It is designed to fit within an undergraduate degree at UWA while supporting pathways into further study in sport, exercise and health disciplines. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting physical performance, exercise participation and health outcomes across community, sport and related industries. Career directions may include work in sport and exercise programs, fitness and performance support, health promotion, recreation services, and roles with sporting organisations or community agencies. This extended major provides an undergraduate platform for careers and further study in sports science.
