About the course
This honours degree develops advanced knowledge and skills in sport and exercise science, combining evidence-based theory with practical learning. You’ll study areas such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control, nutrition and conditioning, building capability to analyse performance and support health outcomes. The course is delivered through QUT’s Faculty of Health and prepares you for advanced undergraduate study in sports science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting sport performance, physical activity and health across community, clinical and high-performance environments. Potential pathways include strength and conditioning support, sport science and performance analysis assistance, exercise programming and health promotion roles, and related positions in sport organisations and wellbeing services. This honours qualification also supports progression to further study and research in sports science.
