About the course
This degree prepares you to assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders for people across the lifespan. You’ll develop professional skills through a strong practical focus, with placement-style experience beginning from first year, supported by experienced lecturers and a smaller cohort for more personalised learning. This is an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification in Speech Pathology. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can work as speech pathologists helping children and adults with speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing difficulties. Career paths span hospitals and health services, rehabilitation, disability and aged-care providers, community clinics, schools and early intervention services, and private practice. The Bachelor of Speech Pathology supports entry to practice in the speech pathology profession. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
