About the course
This Bachelor of Space Science explores the science and engineering concepts behind modern space activity, from spacecraft and satellites to human spaceflight. You’ll build a foundation in physics and related disciplines while learning how space missions are designed and supported. Study is delivered on campus with a strong STEM focus and links to emerging “Space 2.0” industries. This is an undergraduate degree in space science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles in the growing space and aerospace ecosystem, supporting the design, analysis and operation of spacecraft and satellite systems. Career pathways can include work with space agencies, defence and advanced manufacturing, or private space companies involved in launch services, mission planning and space technology. Typical roles include satellite engineer or rocket engineer. This is a bachelor-level qualification in space science. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
