About the course
The Bachelor of Social Work with Honours prepares you for generalist social work practice, with a strong focus on social justice, human rights and culturally responsive practice. You’ll build applied skills through authentic assessments and extensive industry-based learning, including at least 1,000 hours of supervised field education placement. Study options support full-time or part-time pathways and recognition of prior learning. This is an undergraduate professional qualification in social work.
Career outcome
Graduates can work across community, health and human services settings, supporting individuals, families and communities and helping address inequality and wellbeing challenges. Career pathways include casework, community development, child and family services, mental health and wellbeing support, disability and aged-care services, and policy or advocacy roles in government and non-government organisations.
