About the course
This double degree combines social work with criminology and justice to explore the social drivers of crime, inequality and disadvantage alongside Australia’s criminal justice system. You’ll develop practice-focused capabilities through field placements and specialist criminology study, with options to explore areas such as youth justice, restorative justice and criminal profiling. This is an undergraduate pathway in sociology, social work and justice-focused practice. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across social and justice services, working with individuals, families and communities affected by crime, disadvantage and mental health challenges. Career pathways include community agencies, youth and victim support services, offender reintegration programs, policy development and analysis, and crime/justice research. Opportunities exist in government, non-government organisations and community development settings in this bachelor-level social work and criminology discipline.
