About the course
The Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) (Sociology) is designed for high-achieving students who have completed a three-year social science (or related) degree. You’ll undertake an honours year that builds advanced research capability through supervised study on a topic of interest, strengthening your critical analysis of social issues and preparing you for further research pathways. This is an undergraduate honours qualification in sociology. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles that apply sociological research and policy analysis across community services, government and NGOs, health and social policy, advocacy, and market or social research. The honours research experience can also support progression into higher degree research and careers requiring strong evidence-based investigation and reporting skills.
