About the course
The Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) (Indigenous Studies) is designed for high-achieving graduates of a Bachelor of Social Science or a related degree who want to strengthen research and analytical capability. You will undertake an honours year focused on advanced study and an independent research project in Indigenous Studies, preparing you for further research pathways or professional roles. This is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in social science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles where social research and policy insight are valued, including advocacy and community development, social and community services, policy analysis and evaluation, social policy development, environmental and community program roles, market research, and administration/business development positions. The honours qualification can also support progression to higher degree research in Indigenous Studies and related social science fields.
