About the course
The Bachelor of Science with Honours is a one-year (or part-time equivalent) program for high-performing science graduates who want a focused, supervised research experience. You’ll work closely with an academic supervisor and build research capability through methodology training and an honours project. The course supports specialisation in areas such as environmental, marine or forest science management and can also provide a pathway to postgraduate study in science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates gain research and advanced analytical skills valued in science-focused roles across environmental, marine and forest science management. The honours year strengthens capability in experimental design, data acquisition and communication of findings, supporting work in government, consulting, natural resource management and related private-sector science roles.
