About the course
UniSC’s Bachelor of Science (Honours) builds advanced research capability through hands-on coursework and a supervised scholarly research project. You’ll strengthen research methodology skills, apply scientific knowledge to real issues across science, health and human services, and produce a rigorous thesis or research report. The program supports progression into professional practice or further study in science at bachelor honours level. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue research-focused roles across agriculture, aquaculture, biotechnology, community health, environmental management and pollution/waste management. The honours year supports pathways into medical and health research, ecological and biodiversity research, and science research positions in government or corporate organisations. It can also provide a foundation for higher research degrees and an academic career in sciences at bachelor honours level. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
