About the course
This Bachelor of Science (Honours) - SMAH (Environment) develops advanced research capability to investigate environmental systems and major global challenges. You’ll undertake an honours research project, build skills in scientific inquiry and analysis, and deepen your understanding of the natural world. This on-campus, one-year full-time honours year is designed for science graduates progressing to specialist roles or further research in environmental science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across environmental science, planning and sustainability in government, consulting and industry. Career paths can include environmental scientist, ecologist, environmental planner, sustainability consultant, GIS and remote sensing analyst, land rehabilitation or restoration specialist, parks and wildlife ranger, and environmental educator.
