QUT’s Bachelor of Science (Honours) builds advanced scientific expertise through a supervised research project in your chosen area. You’ll strengthen analytical and problem‑solving skills, undertake higher-level theory and training where relevant, and produce a research paper or thesis using modern labs and facilities. The course supports pathways into further research study or enhanced professional employment as an honours qualification in science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates are prepared for advanced entry into science-based roles and research environments, supported by experience designing and completing an independent project.
