About the course
This honours year lets you complete an independent research project in plant or animal science, sustainable agriculture, or animal and veterinary bioscience under academic supervision. You’ll build core research skills while using specialist facilities at UQ Gatton, including production units, horticultural fields, veterinary hospitals and research labs. The program is designed to prepare you for research roles or further study through a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in agriculture-related sciences.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for entry-level research and technical roles across agriculture, animal production, plant science and veterinary biosciences, as well as roles that value research capability in government, industry and consulting.
