About the course
Bachelor of Science (Honours) is a one-year, research-intensive program that builds advanced scientific expertise through a substantial supervised research project and thesis. You will specialise in a discipline such as biology, chemistry, physics or environmental science while developing skills in research design, data analysis, ethics and scientific communication. Study in person at Bedford Park and engage with active research teams and modern laboratories in the sciences.
What you might learn
Build advanced research capability through a major independent thesis supported by training in experimental design, data analysis, ethics and data interpretation. Develop skills in scientific communication via seminars and peer review, and strengthen professional capabilities such as critical thinking, project management and collaboration within an active research team.

Graduates are prepared for research-focused roles and entry into higher degree study, including pathways toward a PhD. The Honours year strengthens capability in designing and conducting experiments, analysing and interpreting data, and communicating findings in professional scientific settings.
