About the course
This Dean’s Scholar Honours pathway in Cell and Molecular Biology provides an accelerated, research-focused science degree within UOW’s science and health faculty. You’ll build strong foundations in modern biological science and develop advanced research and analytical skills, preparing for laboratory and life-science innovation. The programme is delivered on campus at Wollongong as a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Sciences. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across biotechnology, biomedical and environmental laboratories, research organisations and health-related industries. Potential pathways include molecular biologist, microbiologist, biotechnologist, cell culture scientist, bioinformatics specialist, clinical research associate, forensic or DNA analyst, and laboratory technician, with further study supporting research or specialist clinical genetics careers. Outcomes align with a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Sciences.
